4 cups fresh strawberries, packed down but not crushed
white vinegar, to cover
sugar, equal to juice
Fill quart jar with strawberries, shaking and packing it as you fill. Add vinegar to cover strawberries. Cover. Let stand on counter for two days. Strain.
Measure juice and pour into saucepan. Add same quantity of sugar. Heat and stir to dissolve sugar. Boil rapidly for 10 minutes. Cool. To serve mix 1 part dordial to 3 parts water.. Store in refridgerator.
Makes 2 1/2 cups.
